USCIS opens Atlanta Asylum Office: what asylum applicants should know

On July 1, 2026, USCIS announced that it is opening an Atlanta Asylum Office.

According to USCIS, beginning July 8, 2026, the Atlanta Asylum Office will conduct interviews for certain affirmative asylum applicants.
