Are USCIS filing fees included?
No. The table lists Asal’s private preparation fees. Government filing fees are separate. USCIS forms can be downloaded free from USCIS.gov. Confirm any translation or third-party costs separately before work begins.

Can I use paperwork preparation instead of hiring an attorney?
Paid clerical preparation may help when you have already selected your forms and need help entering your information and organizing documents. It does not replace legal advice. If you need to decide what to file, assess eligibility, address a denial, or handle immigration court or another legal issue, consult a licensed immigration attorney or authorized accredited representative.
Can Asal advise me about an asylum claim?
No. The $1,000 I-589 fee is for clerical preparation of paperwork using your information. It does not include legal evaluation of an asylum claim, advice on deadlines or evidence, case strategy, interview advocacy, or court representation.
