Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about our services, fees, timeline, and process.

About Our Services

Are you a law firm or licensed immigration attorneys?+

No. Asal Immigration Services is a document preparation service operated by Asal Multi-Services LLC. We are not attorneys and are not authorized to practice law. We do not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal strategy. We prepare USCIS forms based on the information you provide. For legal questions or complex cases, consult a licensed immigration attorney.

What exactly do you do?+

We help you prepare USCIS immigration forms accurately, organize your supporting documents into a complete filing packet, coordinate certified translations when needed, review government filing fees, and help track your case status after filing. We explain each step clearly in Somali, Arabic, or English.

What do you NOT do?+

We do not provide legal advice, legal strategy, or representation before USCIS or immigration court. We do not advise on eligibility, waivers, appeals, deportation defense, or complex legal issues. For those situations, you need a licensed immigration attorney.

What languages do you serve clients in?+

We serve clients in Somali, Arabic, English. Our Columbus office has staff who can help you in all three languages.

Can you help if USCIS sends me a Request for Evidence (RFE)?+

Yes. We can help you organize the documents USCIS requested and prepare a response packet. We do not provide legal advice about strategy or eligibility — for that, consult an attorney.

Fees & Pricing

How much does a consultation cost?+

Consultations are completely free. We review your situation, identify which forms apply, and give you a flat-rate price before any work begins.

How do you charge?+

We use flat-rate pricing — you know the exact cost before we start. No hourly billing, no surprises. Published rates include I-130 preparation at $380, I-765 at $300, and the I-485 complete package at $1,200. Other services are quoted after your free consultation.

Are government filing fees included in your price?+

No. USCIS government filing fees are separate from our document preparation fee. We will clearly tell you what USCIS charges so you can budget correctly. We never collect government fees on your behalf.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?+

Yes. We offer a money-back guarantee on our preparation services. Ask us for full details during your consultation.

Timeline & Process

How long does it take to prepare my forms?+

Most forms are prepared within 24-48 hours after we receive all required documents from you. Cases requiring certified translations or more complex document organization may take a bit longer. We give you an honest timeline during your consultation.

How long does USCIS take to process after I file?+

USCIS processing times vary by form type and are outside our control. Check current processing times on USCIS.gov. We help you understand the process and track your case status after filing.

What happens after I submit my application?+

USCIS will mail a receipt notice (Form I-797) within 2-4 weeks. Depending on the form, USCIS may schedule biometrics, request additional evidence (RFE), or schedule an interview. We help you understand each step.
